Flexible Direction-of-Arrival Simulation for Automotive Radar Target Simulators

In order to simulate realistic traffic scenarios, a radar target simulator must be able generate multiple targets with different directions of arrival. The presented concept is an arbitrary amount individual arrival for the under test. By measuring channel, novel approach enables simulators arrival, while minimizing required hardware. optimum setup derived radars uniform linear receive antenna array. compensation placement errors automotive chirp-sequence frequency modulated continuous wave demonstrated. Finally, calibration provided, and performance validated.
